You'll need access to Salesdash's MCP integration settings and a ChatGPT or Claude account that supports the required connection. Your AI workspace may require an administrator to add or approve the integration.
Part one
Seven steps to turn on the connection and decide what it can do. You'll finish with an MCP URL to paste into your AI platform.
Click your profile icon in the upper-right corner of Salesdash to open the profile menu.
Choose Integrations from the profile menu.
On the Integrations page, open the Automation tab and find the MCP integration card.
On the MCP card, click Connect MCP and review the access settings.
Click Save Changes and confirm the card shows Connected.
Copy your MCP URL from the card to paste into your AI platform. Use the exact URL shown in your own account.
To change these access settings later, select Manage MCP Settings on the MCP card.
What each setting does
Every setting is deliberate. Here is exactly what the AI can do in each state — and what it never can.
The AI can look up records you can already see. Nothing is created, changed, or removed.
The AI can create or update records. It does not allow deleting.
The AI can delete records. Enable this only for users you trust to delete CRM data.

Part three
Run this read-only test after finishing the steps for your platform. It only looks up records — nothing is changed or deleted.
Use Salesdash to show me up to five accounts I have permission to view.
ChatGPT or Claude should use the Salesdash connection to retrieve accessible account information. If no records are returned, check whether your account has access to any matching records.

Check whether your AI plan and workspace allow custom connections. Your workspace administrator may need to add or approve Salesdash.
Confirm that you can view the record in Salesdash and that the Salesdash connection is enabled for the conversation.
Both the connection's write settings and your Salesdash role must allow the action. The action must also be supported by the connector.
